18 Months

Colbi Morgan,

You are 18 months old. Mommy can not believe she is typing that! My goodness, time has flown by.

You are the sweetest, funniest, cutest little girl I know. This is probably my most favorite age so far. You are talking up a storm (sometimes, in your own language) and growing like a weed. Some of your favorite words are:

Mommy
Daddy
No
Poo poo
Buddy
Ilk (milk)
Melmo (Elmo)
mon (aka c'mon-when you want us to follow you)
bye bye
Gigi/Pops
Ooma

Pushing anything around the house is your favorite pass time. The strollers and shopping carts you got from Christmas are definitely getting their use. You're obsessed with cellphones and tablets, although we (Mommy and Daddy) don't let you play with ours.

You eat pretty much anything we give you, which is awesome. It's seriously one of the best things since your daddy is super picky. I can't think of really anything you haven't had. You aren't much for juice though, just milk and water. Mexican food is probably your favorite thing to eat, along with spaghetti.

You go to bed between 7:30-8pm and wake up around 7:30am. We still rock with you, not every night, but most nights you like to snuggle before bed.

You are such an easy going, happy little girl and Mommy loves to hang out with you. Daddy loves you so much and you guys share a special bond. Daddy loves to play with you and you think he hung the moon, so that's pretty awesome too.

We are so thankful for God bringing you into our lives. You bring us so much happiness and joy, we couldn't imagine our lives without you in it!

Love,
Mommy and Daddy

 I am so glad
Colbi is better!

We started a new in home sitter this week, lets pray that goes well too.
I sure do miss our old sitter, but the drive was already so much better.
I think she will really like her new lady, plus there are boys there.
Eek.
Thats new.

Cousins & the crud

Avery came to stay with us this past weekend and these girls were busy, busy playing!!

I'm really glad they are close in age and like to play together.

They are both obsessed with pushing things. It's a good thing Colbi has so many different carts to play with.

Colbi has also become really good at playing with "babies". She kisses on them and hugs them. It's so sweet.

Colbi started running fever Tuesday night and has had a rough few days. Tuesday her fever reached 103.4 and, needless to say, I was a little freaked out! We debated on taking her to Cook's (it was about 6:30pm), but after talking with our pedi, we opted to wait it out. After a cool rag, warm bath, and some Tylenol it came down. That night was not fun though.

I'm so thankful for parents that live close and can come help so we can work. She's still running fever today, but I'm hoping it will be gone by tomorrow. She's been sleeping some and sweaty, so wishful thinking!
Colbi has been super clingy today, which isn't such a bad thing for me. But, I'm ready for this virus to go away!

Happy Birthday Gigi!

My mom celebrated a big birthday today!

We had a nice girl's day to help her celebrate.

Red Velvet Cheesecake and Tiramisu Cheesecake
We went to eat at the Cheesecake Factory, one of her favorite places, and then to have coffee (out of REAL MUGS, not to-go cups!) afterward at La Madeline. We love that place!

It was a very nice afternoon filled with girl talk and laughter!

But, this little cutie wanted to make sure and say....
"Happy birthday Gigi!"

We hope your "big" birthday was nice and you enjoyed it! We love you so very much!!!

Love,
 Dave, Brooke, & Colbi
