Tuesday Breakfast

We woke up this morning and had some errands to run, so I opted to eat breakfast at Chick-fil-A rather than at home (since one of our main errands was for groceries :-).

Colbi threw up (once again!) on the way there. Blah. I'm pretty sure she made herself though this time. She likes to make herself cough, so it wasn't much but I found myself super frustrated with her. After we changed clothes, we were on our way.

As we walked in, she was waving and saying hello to everyone like she owned the place. It was so funny!

I love CFA, even though it can get old eating there. I refuse to go to McDonald's and let her play. I'm just not a huge fan except for every now and then. I do love McDonald's coffee.

We got the groceries up and are getting ready for nap time with Frozen. I may like that movie more than she does!

Monday with Mommy

Technically, today is Monday with Mommy and we have done a few things already. I have zero pictures from this morning, oops! I'm really writing to share about my first Avenue Moms experience while it's fresh on my mind......

Let me preface by saying, I'm not use to having to attend things.........ready for it.......ALONE. I'm not at all a shy person. I'll make conversation or speak to anyone really, but walking into a room full of women can be a little awkward. I work with all women, in the beauty industry and while I love my salon, let's be honest.......women can care WAY to much about what other women think. Although, our Women's leader is awesome. We hadn't even joined the church yet and she knew my name. I was really impressed with that since our church is pretty large. Sidenote: We got all the paperwork and attended the ownership class to join. This is BIG deal for us, Dave hasn't ever been a member of a church. Hallelujah we found one he likes!! I love it too, but I'm a little more easy to please :-)

Anyway, I wouldn't say I was a loner exactly, I guess I just don't keep a ton of women friends. For many reasons. First off, I hate drama. Like, with all that I am, I HATE any sort of drama. Women can be dramatic. I have a bunch of friends, but really, only about 3 CLOSE friends. And, two of those are my sisters. HA!!

I felt the need to join this group a few weeks ago. Growing up in church, I know that church is what you make it. If you show up on Sundays, never speak to anyone or get involved, it's going to feel "clickish" or feel lonesome. I'm at a place in my life where I feel as though God has been working on my heart. I have a daughter and I want her to see what being a Godly woman means.....and that's MY responsibility. You have to start somewhere, right?! I want as one of her parents, to help lay the foundation for her spiritual journey.

I think it's going to be a really good thing to get involved with and be a part of. First impression is the typical round table, sit anywhere, silly ice breaker stuff you do........that's always just weird. I mean, I knew no one so I randomly choose to sit in the front. I really enjoyed the table leader though, she was pretty funny and very warm.

I'm interested to learn God's word and grow. I'm hoping to meet some nice ladies and hopefully find a little nitch in the church some how. I'm really excited......and maybe a little nervous!

As for the rest of the our Monday with Mommy, I plan on taking Colbi for a good long walk. It is gorgeous outside!!!!!! Get your booty outside and enjoy it! :-)

Monday with Mommy

I was totally debating taking Colbi this morning to open gym down the road, mainly because when I woke up I had a massive headache. But, we went and it was so much fun for her!!

For $5, you get two hours of jump/play time and she had a ball.
(Most pictures are blurry because she wouldn't really stop for a picture!)

There was a nice group of women there with their kiddos, so I will definitely take her back at some point. She slept for three hours today at nap time, so I'd say it was worth the five bucks.

After gym time, we ran a few errands and headed home. After she woke up from her nap, she was happy as a lark. And wanted me to take her picture. Seriously. She kept saying "Cheese!"
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that I get to spend my Mondays with this little cutie pie.

It still baffles my mind how much you can love such a little person. I can only imagine the love that God has for all of us compared to what I feel for Colbi.

I often think of that. Do you?!

Some pictures

We had a visitor last week!

Avery came to stay with us for a night while her parents went on a vacation. Woohoo!

Colbi and Avery LOVE each other. I'm so glad they are close enough in age to play. As they get older, it's getting easier to keep one or the other because you can send them both into the play room and let them play!

We also gave Avery a hair cut while her Mommy was gone. I promised Jenna I would never cut Avery's hair without her permission, but color I can't make any promises! :-) Just kidding!! She is so funny and we love having her.

Leslie was also in town last week and it was time for some fresh color! I haven't seen Leslie since our family pictures, so we hung out and she came to see Colbi too!

Colbi's attempt at a selfie #1:

There we go!!!
Leslie got cut out, but minor details.

Also, I'm liking my hair a little more since it's been about a week.....
Not completely sure if I'm going to keep it short or grow it some. I go back and forth.......everyone who knows me is thinking "you always keep it short"......yeah, yeah.

And today we got up for church, had some lunch, and took a nap! At least, Colbi and I napped. Dave never does. What is that about?

Colbi decided to play with her daddy's undies while we were doing laundry though.
It was pretty funny. This is such a fun age right now. She is so much fun!!! Except, she wasn't really good at putting up her clothes.

We will work on that one!

Monday with Mommy and other updates

Yesterday was a beautiful day! I debated on taking Colbi to the park, but she has been super congested since Saturday. I didn't want to be that parent with the snotty kid spreading germs. We had a nice day anyway that included grocery shopping, lunch outside, and a nice long walk after nap time.

Colbi thought C'mere was too funny once she figured out he would fetch the ball after she threw it.

In other news, I cut my hair. Here's my attempt at the duck face with my new 'do. It's super short. I almost had a heart attack as she was cutting it. Hair dressers freak out too people.

Saturday, my first appointment cancelled last minute which meant family breakfast! We went to Our Place (which is close to my salon) and it was awesome.
Colbi even got her own Mickey pancake. She mainly ate the whipped cream and sprinkles.......
\
Isn't this the cutest hat?? My aunt had it made and gave it to her for Christmas. It was cold enough last week for her to wear it.

Another cold front is coming in tonight. I tell ya, these weather changes are NOT good for this cold all three of us can not kick! Hoping after this one blows through, we can be done with the super cold temps. Although, I'm not ready AT ALL for the 100+ days.

Pecor Family Pictures

We got our pictures taken a few weeks ago, and just thought I'd share a few of my favorites!!

Our photographer got some great shots, it's hard to choose which ones I like best!

Our weekend. It's only Wednesday!

I feel like my days just kind of run together. Like, Wednesdays are my Mondays so Monday and Tuesday really still feel like the weekend. First world problems, I know.

Friday, I got off work and we went to eat at Babe's (we haven't been there in FOREVER, it was yummy!) and let Colbi run around down town for awhile. It was gorgeous weather.

"I don't want to stay still and smile!"
Colbi was getting a talking to for trying to run into the street. So serious.

Saturday, I worked a half day and then we headed to our friend's birthday party. Liam turned 2, and it was seriously the cutest Pirate party ever. There was a bounce house (which Colbi wasn't too sure about, go figure!) but lots of toys that kept her pretty busy. We ended up having to leave early because she hadn't napped and Daddy took her to the park earlier in the day. She. was. tired.
Feel asleep two minutes after we got in the car while eating a snack.

Sunday, I felt horrible. It had started Saturday night, but really wasn't feeling good all day Sunday. The weather was bad, so we hung out most of the day. I hung out in bed. It was good.
Her most FAVORITE thing to do ever at the moment is to color. She's obsessed. But, every crayon is hers. Just giving you a fair warning! :-)

In other news, we got our taxes done. Blah. BUT, we don't owe. YAY!

That's about it.
 Happy hump day y'all!
