Thursday Phone Pics

Because I love these pictures, I will share them.

Every morning as we are walking to the car (our garage door broke, like in half, did I mention that?!), she loves the picks the flowers and give them to me. I love it.

This is what she does most mornings. If you are driving by our house, most likely Colbi has waved to you on your way to start your day. "Bye, bye car" "Bye, bye bus" "Bye, bye puppy" It's so sweet. And, most people will wave back.

**********************************************

She took her first dip of the season this past weekend. Dave said it was cold, but evidently, Colbi did not. She didn't want to get out!
This summer is going to be so. much. fun.

I can't wait!

Too busy, no blog.

May seems to be one busy month for us. Between birthdays, Mother's day, work, prom, concerts.......you get the picture.

We had a date night last weekend and went to our most favorite concert, Dave Matthews! We have every year (except for the past two, man kids can cramp your style!) since I can't even remember when. It's always a good time and we even stayed until the end!

This past week we managed a play date with Jenna and Avery. Those two love each other!

This weekend included swimming at Gigi and Pops' house, dinner out at the Flying Fish (which is awesome!), church, a graduation reception, and.........

my first official 5K! I actually finished in 34 minutes, which is better than when I run at home. I was proud of myself.

My friend created a high school weight loss group and our goal is to do one 5K per month. It was fun to do with other people you know. Even though I do workout, I know I'll be hurting tomorrow. Afterward, we met Gigi and Pops for breakfast because what's the point of running a 5K if you can't replenish with some good food?!
Yes, Cracker Barrel was so very yummy this morning.

I can not believe it's almost June! That's insane to me. I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day! I'm off to put a little girl to bed and probably will follow behind her shortly! :-)

Fun Friday

I just thought this picture was too cute to pass up! The weather has been so pretty this week, we have taken full advantage of any extra time with some long walks. She's my favorite walking buddy!

What day is it?!

I know it's Wednesday, but sometimes I wake up and literally do not know what day it is. Does that ever happen to you? I'm thankful for busy days, but sometimes wish I learned the say the word "no". HA!

I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's day weekend!

Our's started off Friday with donuts!
And then, later in the day we went to the Ranger game!
It was quite a game. Darvish pitching? Check. Napoli in town? Check. Good food and company? Check. Colbi had a great time and was good during the whole thing. She got pushed over though walking back in when a fly ball got hit our way. I thought Dave was going to hit some one because none of the men fighting for the ball said I'm sorry after we picked Colbi up crying. And don't even get me started on the "can't give you any ice unless you buy a $5 cup" food stand. I just walked away.........

On to Saturday, I worked and then we headed out to eat dinner. We have a local place that has great food but the service is way below par. We probably won't be going back, unless it's for to-go food.
I got to spend the night with this one though, so it's all worth it.

Sunday morning, we got up and went to church. It was a really great service. The pastor asked all the men to leave towards the end (to go grab the kiddos) and then he prayed over all the women. It was really touching. He prayed for those who have lost children, for those waiting to become mothers, for women who have lost their own mother, and for the moms who are mothers to children who are not biologically theirs. It was such a sweet moment.

After, we headed to Wendy's to eat.
(She was saving the crumb on her chin for later).

Mom, Leslie, Jenna, and I then went to the movie to see Heaven is for Real. Great movie followed by dinner at Spring Creek. All in all, a really awesome Mother's Day.

To my own Momma! Thank you for all you do for us. Thank you for loving us so much. Thank you for being such a great Gigi to my Colbi. Thank you for showing me what being an obedient servant looks like. Thank you for being a hard worker, my shopping bud, and just being you. We appreciate and love you more thank you know!

Monday, we got some good rain and this little one LOVES to watch the rain like her Pops.

And now, the weather is just perfect for some outside fun! Get outside and do something!!! :-)

Weekend Wrap Up & Monday with Mommy

We had an eventful weekend around here. Mom and I went to Canton Thursday to get a few specific things and got a call from the sitter saying Colbi was running fever. Luckily, Dave could leave and grab her for the doctor's appt in the afternoon. Double ear infection and Mom of the Year award goes to me! She had gunky eyes and yucky drainage for about two weeks but we thought it was allergies. Some good medicine and she is back to normal, thank goodness.

We scored her a "new" tricycle for $8. She loves it.

My parents kept her Friday since she was still running fever some. Ice cream and a good day with Gigi and Pops helped though!
She even took a four hour nap! That's some good nappin'!

Saturday, I worked. It was prom for several of the districts in the area and I had some prom girls come in and get their hair done. Sometimes it's fun to do special events like that, it reminds me of my high school days (I'm glad it's over though!).

Colbi still had a fever Saturday so we just hung out the rest of the night and all conked out early.

Sunday, I got to work the baby room at church. It gave me a good baby fix!  :-) We grabbed some lunch and headed back over to my parents to work on some things for this week. I'm sure they are sick of seeing us! Just kidding!

We put our feet in the pool and watered the plants!

And this morning, we got up and took a walk. It was a beautiful morning! Colbi LOVES taking walks!
She is napping and then we are heading to go do some hair for Embrace Grace (a ministry for girls with unplanned pregnancies) because they have completed their classes and get their baby showers tonight! I'm looking forward to it!

Happy Monday everyone!
