Weekend Wrap Up

We've had a good weekend around here.

Saturday, I actually took the day off because I had a busy day of baby/wedding showers. It's been awhile since I've had a Saturday off, so we decided to grab some breakfast before Colbi and I headed off.

I had to capture this image before we left. Colbi is being stubborn about walking on her own, but a little stroll with Daddy helps to encourage it.

And then today, it wasn't unbearably uncomfortable and we took advantage. We have a park by our house so I thought some time on the swing was in order.

(This wasn't part of our weekend, but Mom kept Colbi one afternoon and sent me this picture. Colbi took it upon herself to find a snack in the pantry. Little stinker!)
My mom hosted a wedding shower at her house for our cousin getting married in November and it was a really nice time!
Aunt Bonnie, my Aunt Angie, Great Aunt Rita, Tammy, and Ashley and Aaron are in the back.
Some of our other cousins and the Pecor women

I love showers. I try to go to all I'm invited into if I can, mainly because it's always a happy occasion celebrating life events in people's lives!! Plus, Mom throws a mean shower with some yummy food!!

On to a different topic, Dave and I are in the mist of trying to find a church that "fits" us. We were attending a really awesome church we loved, but the reality is, it's just too far to attend regularly. Call it an excuse, but if it's not relatively close, we just won't go. I hate to admit it. We've been visiting a church we use to attend on the regular. I really like the atmosphere and the pastor is amazing, I'm just a little concerned with size. When we were attending before, it wasn't nearly as large as it is now. I'm not a fan of mega churches, mainly because I feel like it's even more challenging to get involved. Let's face it, you can get lost in the crowd. So, long story short, I'm kind of on the fence. We've decided to just pray about it, keep attending and hope we feel some direction. They have an incredible children's ministry though!

I'm also having a realization about my time and working out. I think it'll become a little easier with some weather changes and possibly a few changes in our routine. We shall see, but I'm not going to sweat these last ten pounds I've been wanting to get rid of. There are bigger things in life to worry about. HA!

Have a great week!

It's probably too far for you, but we LOVE our church and think it's the best ever! First Baptist Colleyville. You could move?! :) They have tons of young families with little kids.

Let me know if you ever want to visit!
